What's really happening?

Sometimes we have no idea what is really happening in the world. We have TV, Radio, Newspapers, Magazines and the Internet as our sources of news and information. In fact there is information overload!

How do we know the information is accurate and even if it is how do we assess its importance?

In the days of Apartheid in South Africa, during the period leading to free elections, huge prayer meetings of black, white and coloured people (using South Africa’s legal description at the time), filled stadiums. On one such occasion a group of about twenty violent protesters, only yards from the stadium ,were featured on the international news bulletins as representing what was happening in South Africa that day. It was true, but was it important? Did it represent THE truth?

I’ve been at a conference this week with people from across our nation and from other countries where we heard stories about what is going on behind the scenes, things that hardly get reported in our newspapers. Believe me, it astonishing, it is astounding, and I mean in a good way. Jesus people are having an incredible impact in all aspects of society, and I don’t mean a wishy washy version, I mean people who truly represent Jesus and move in power and authority!

So be encouraged God’s agents are everywhere even if the media don't report it.

Don't be discouraged by the news reports. Hold on to God’s promises, listen to His voice and keep “seeking first the Kingdom of God” as you pray ‘Thy Kingdom come… on earth as it is in heaven’!

Pulse, Philip Robertson
